Grayton's Dining Experiences Defined

Experience Strategy, Naming, Identity, Collaterals, Guest Touch Point Design, Rollout

Brandteliers was enlisted by the Grayton Hotel Marketing team, in partnership with Blazon Hotels, to develop distinct brand identities for four outlets within the hotel: an Indian-themed restaurant, a breakfast and all-day dining restaurant, a pool bar, and a bar. The objective was to create branding that not only stood out in Dubai's competitive hospitality market but also reflected the boutique experience offered by the Grayton Hotel. We undertook an extensive brand strategy development process, involving thorough research, naming discovery sessions, concept exercises, and messaging workshops. The result was a set of strategic principles that guided the brand identities and created a consistent look and feel across all outlets.

Approach

By identifying their crucial differentiation points, we developed unique brand identities for Bukhara, CitrusO2, and G&T Bar. Bukhara was positioned as a fine-dining Indian restaurant, for which we created an Indian-inspired brand identity with handcrafted symbols and typography. For CitrusO2, an all-day dining restaurant with a trendy vibe, we designed a modern and enjoyable brand identity. G&T Bar, a sophisticated drinking spot, received a classic and elegant brand identity. Our branding guidelines ensured consistency across various touchpoints, such as brand creation and social media.

The process began with a review of the planned guest journey, focusing on the rituals and moments that define a stay. This informed a visual and written direction built around warm tones, soft textures, and a friendly pace that reflected the property's personality. Naming, tone of voice and identity systems were developed for each concept group. This provided a structure that would help the hotel present its experiences in a unified way and ensure clarity across all guest touch points.

The Solution

A focused suite of pre-opening materials was created to introduce each experience with clarity and character.

The work included naming and identity systems for all experience groups, concept documents and guest-facing collateral. Each item paired photography with simple messaging to help guests understand the experiences available without adding complexity. Copywriting, design and artwork preparation were delivered along with production support. This ensured a consistent rollout across printed pieces, in-room touchpoints, menus, and digital formats.

The Outcome

The Grayton Hotel successfully launched with each brand identity fully implemented. Our team ensured consistent branding across all touchpoints and engaged with the community to generate excitement and interest around the new hotel. The urban district now features several popular destinations, including Bukhara, CitrusO2, and G&T Bar, attracting visitors year-round. The hotel's distinctive boutique experience owes its success to its unique brand identities and branding guidelines. Brandteliers worked closely with the Grayton Hotel Marketing team and Blazon Hotels to establish these outlets as key attractions within the hotel that align with its overall vision.

Guests interacted more naturally with the hotel’s experiences due to clearer naming, improved messaging and more organised materials. The unified narrative supported a smoother journey through dining, social and everyday moments, giving the hotel a clearer sense of identity and a more intuitive flow throughout the stay.
