The DusitD2 Hotel Kenz Dubai requested our Brandteliers to provide complete brand development services for a new restaurant that offers fine casual dining. The client wanted to establish a strong brand identity and promote growth in the highly competitive food and beverage industry. They needed our team's assistance with all aspects of branding, including strategizing, naming, and creative expression. We worked closely with the client to develop a new brand for Ostro, providing a distinct brand strategy and identity that sets it apart as a top choice for Mediterranean cuisine.

The project

Our team suggested the brand story "Urban Escape" to convey the idea of an oasis amid the urban neighbourhood of Barsha Heights. We then explored various name options for the restaurant based on this brand positioning, taking inspiration from Mediterranean languages and terminology. We chose the name "Ostro" for our restaurant. The name is inspired by the warm southerly winds that drift across the Mediterranean Sea, creating an atmosphere that allows diners to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Our creative team made a brandmark to go with the name. The footprints inspire the brandmark in the Mediterranean sand, whisked away by the winds, leaving a lasting impression. The circle in the brandmark represents the path to the Mediterranean oasis. The Look and Feel system of the brand was created to establish a neat and simple environment with elements of surprise. It utilized light tones in touchpoints and subtly applied the brand identity. Consequently, the brand gained a strong and lasting impression on the intended audience and distinguished itself as a leading dining destination in the competitive Food & Beverage industry.

The Results
Brandteliers successfully achieved the desired objectives for Ostro. Our strategic approach and creative expression of the brand story enabled Ostro to stand out from its competitors and become an attractive destination for customers looking for Mediterranean cuisine.
